Nestled in Clusone’s historical area, up a narrow cobbled street, not far from the light bustle of ristoranti, gelaterie, bottegai and caffetterie, lies Casa Celeste. Our bright and airy apartment sits on the top floor of the Santa Maria Assunta building (originally constructed in 1579 and now newly renovated).

Wander down to Baracca Café for espressos, panini and a chat in the morning, pick up some Bergamasque salami and cheese for a picnic lunch and in the evenings open some Prosecco and look out across the terracotta rooftops across the village to Pizzo Formico – mountain slopes famous for trekking.

Lying at the foot of the Presolana ‘the Queen of the Orobie’ in the Italian Alps, and home to Monte Pora and Spiazzi ski resorts, Clusone is an open secret – a favourite destination for those in the know. For winter sports buffs, cycling nuts, hiking addicts, foodie aficionados and culture vultures alike, pursue your passions or simply settle into the easy-going rhythm of Italian village life.

Owners Eliana and Mark will welcome you in their first holiday let apartment. After many years abroad, they’ve settled in this charming village bringing their international travel experiences and local knowledge. Mark is South African and Eliana is from the Bergamo region – a unique combination of modernity and tradition. Eliana speaks Italian, English, Spanish, French and Chinese.
